Welcome to S&DRC

Welcome to the Shillingstone and District Riding Club.

We are a well established club, affiliated with British Riding Clubs,

We encourage riding as a sport and recreation, to promote good fellowship amongst riders and to improve the standard of riding and horsemanship.

Some of our members compete at affiliated level, whilst others are just starting out on the competitive road and some just enjoy meeting and sharing the pleasure of riding with others.

We have some fabulous instructors who are particularly patient with the more nervous rider and supporting the development of a young or inexperienced horse.

So if you have a good sense of humour, don't mind mucking in and are simply horse mad then we are the club for you.

Coronavirus - Update Friday 5 May 2020

Summer Ride - July (date to be confirmed)

We are now allowed to organise club activities in groups of 6 (including instructor/organisers)  We will of course maintain social distances and have appropriate risk assessments in place.

The committee are working hard to locate an external arena with adequate space so that we can resume our clincs.  We aim to start this in late June/Early July.

A couple of summer rides are planned for early July.  Spaces are limited.  Do let us know on our FB page if you are interested. We will make a small charge to cover hygiene and  bio security costs and at this time will only be open to members.

Dates for your diary - Fingers crossed these can go ahead.
